Bathrooms are often one of the most chaotic showers, towels scattered about and the sort of frustration that could be felt only when looking for a hairbrush in the middle of a morning late-night-running panic.
The good thing, though, is that the bathroom is one of the least praised and most accessible areas to do self-care.
Take a look -- the old WC is usually the first thing we go to upon waking, and you can easily set the tone for the entire day. Do you want to set the tone for your day? Is it chaotic, messy, and scattered or is it serene, calm, and relaxing? The tiny space, no matter the size, can transform into a tranquil oasis at any price. Check out our top tips to establish your bathroom's style and create a beautiful one.
Minimalist
A minimalist style can provide a calming effect, and for many of us, that's what we want at the beginning of the day or after a relaxing end of the day. Being minimalist does not mean you have to eliminate your personal style or make sure that your home is free of things that are exciting. The concept of "minimalism" actually became popular in the 1950s in order to define the new style of sculpture and art that literally meant "simple."
With that one word, "simple," as our guideline, let's look at how to create a minimalist look for your bathroom.
Rustic
If you do not have a home in the countryside (and if should you, we congratulate you), it's still possible to draw inspiration from the country style and design that bathroom you've always wanted to have. A different form of minimalist design, rustic interior design also has its roots in simplicity but with an additional twist. The emphasis is on bringing out the natural in the design, typically using natural, raw materials.
Remember:
Bohemian
A style often described as the complete opposite of minimalism, the bohemian style is of mixing and matching and accepting unusual fashion. Bohemian interiors can be achieved by creating an unpretentious and creative feeling instead of seeking out a particular look.
